Visit of Minister of Labor and Social Protection Maxim Topilin to "Motordetal"

Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Maksim Topilin, came to Kostroma region with a working visit. Together with Governor Sergei Sitnikov, they have visited the "Motordetal" plant.

The general director of the plant, Sergey Kalashnik, spoke to the minister about the plant, product ranges, production possibilities and the working conditions of the employees.

Currently there are more than 1.8 thousand workers employed at the plant. The average monthly salary is about 29 000 rubles. The company's revenues exceed 4 billion per year.

The factory has a modern system of labor protection, the equipment has the necessary protective devices, and the workers have modern licensed personal protective equipment in accordance with approved government standards. All these aspects have been noted positively by the minister.

Chief engineers and mentors conduct internships at the workplace using their system of professional approach. During summer, students from higher educational institutions and students from technical schools come to the factory for internships and midterm practice. Many students after their studies return to the factory as employees. Students from high schools and universities of Kostroma are given the chance to get acquainted with manufacturing process during regular excursions to the factory.

German Smirnov, a specialist in production training (mentor): "Our plant produces parts of the cylinder-piston group: pistons, liners, piston pins. We showed the mechanical processing of the piston to the Minister. This is a fully automatic line, equipped with numerical control machines. Participation of operators here is minimal. I have to say, that the pistons – is our main product, which is produced by the plant for the "Renault Logan".
